Semi-Submersible Watercraft for Superyachts
Seabreacher builds custom semi-submersible watercraft shaped like sharks, orcas, and dolphins. These jet-powered machines breach, dive, and barrel roll at 85 kph on the surface and 32 kph underwater. Ritz Marine is listed as an authorized sales broker on seabreacher.com, with local support from our partner in Mellieha, Malta.
Each unit seats two (pilot + passenger) in a fully enclosed cockpit with aircraft-grade acrylic canopy. A 230hp supercharged Rotax 1500cc engine drives a stainless steel jet pump. Controls use two hand sticks for diving and rolling, a finger trigger throttle, and foot pedals for steering. The hull is hand-laid composite fiberglass with positive buoyancy, meaning the craft always returns to the surface.
CE certified (design category C, module B, inboard waterjet, fully enclosed cabin). No special license required. Build time is approximately 90 days for Seabreacher models and 6 months for the larger Jet Shark.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Seabreacher?
A semi-submersible watercraft built by Innespace Productions in Redding, California. Shaped like marine animals (sharks, orcas, dolphins), it seats two people in a fully enclosed cockpit. Powered by a 230hp supercharged Rotax engine, it reaches 85 kph on the surface and can breach, dive, and perform barrel rolls. Positive buoyancy means it always returns to the surface.
What is the difference between a Seabreacher and a Jet Shark?
Both are built by the same manufacturer. The Seabreacher seats 2 people and weighs 657 kg, powered by a 230hp Rotax engine. The Jet Shark is larger, seating 4-5 people at 1,405 kg, powered by a 407-600hp V8 engine. The Jet Shark includes fly-by-wire controls, air conditioning, and a 16" waterproof display as standard.
Which model should I choose?
The X Model is the most popular and best value for first-time buyers. The Z Model adds barrel roll capability via its retractable dorsal fin. The Sailfish is the fully loaded option with 300hp and carbon fiber fin. For multi-passenger use (families, charter guests, commercial tours), the Jet Shark Q400 or Q600 is the right choice.
How much does a Seabreacher cost?
The X Model starts at €85,000, Y Model at €87,000, Z Model at €96,000, and Sailfish at EUR 130,000. The Jet Shark Q400 starts at €212,000 and Q600 at €242,000. Options like custom paint, performance upgrades, and trailers are additional.
What is the build time?
Seabreacher models take approximately 90 days from deposit. The Jet Shark takes approximately 6 months. Shipping from the USA to the EU adds 4-6 weeks by sea. Pre-owned units in Malta are available for immediate delivery.
Do I need a special license?
No. Seabreacher is classified as a standard recreational inboard powerboat, not a submarine or PWC. It is CE certified (design category C, module B). Pilot training is included with purchase and covers safety protocols, performance handling, and launch/recovery procedures.
Can I launch it from a superyacht?
Yes. A strongback lifting beam (€1,500) and custom yacht mount/cradle (€2,100) are available as options. Most superyachts use davit cranes or tender garages. We assess your yacht configuration and recommend the optimal launching solution.
Can I test drive before buying?
Yes. Test drives cost €850 at the factory in Redding, California, and include a full day of demonstrations and training. The fee is credited toward your purchase. Local demonstrations in Malta can also be arranged through our partner.
