Role at Mercer Yachting
I lead operations at Ritz Marine Ltd, the parent company of Mercer Yachting. Day to day, that means running the supplier network that feeds Mercer's global supply pipeline and the Malta Desk — coordinating delivery logistics across 11 European hubs and making sure the suppliers we put in front of captains, fleet managers, and ETOs are ones we'd trust ourselves.
What I work on
- Supplier network — direct relationships with the European manufacturers and authorised distributors behind Mercer's product catalogue, from superyacht tenders to lithium safety equipment.
- Procurement and expediting — sourcing technical spares and operational supplies for Malta-based and Mediterranean-cruising vessels, plus the active expediting work that keeps refit timelines honest.
- Malta Desk operations — agency, customs, provisioning, and the flag-and-compliance workflow that sits behind Malta flag registration, yacht charter operations, and import-export VAT.
- Regulatory and editorial — pressure-testing the regulatory content we publish in The Logbook, particularly around Malta tonnage tax, the 12% charter VAT regime, MGN 681 lithium safety, and the Commercial Yacht Code 2025.
Background
Ritz Marine Ltd is a long-established Malta-based marine supplier, building Mediterranean supplier relationships from a base in Marsaskala. Mercer Yachting is the superyacht-services division — agency, procurement, and fleet support for owners and captains who need a single point of contact in Malta. My role threads the operational side of the supplier book together with the on-the-ground Malta Desk so that quote-to-delivery doesn't fragment across three different contacts.
