What's different about the Lift 5 Pro vs the Lift 5 Sport?
Both sit on the same flagship LIFT5 platform and share the 32'' LCS Carbon 68 mast, 210 Camber Pro LCS front wing, 36 Glide back wing, Gen5 Full Range Battery and Elite Hand Controller. The difference is the board: the Pro is a 4'4'' board built for precision and tight carving with a surf-like feel, while the Sport is a 4'9'' board tuned for balance between stability and agility — more forgiving for progression. Pro rewards experienced riders; Sport suits a wider range of guests.
Is the Lift 5 Pro beginner-safe?
The Pro is the sharpest board in the LIFT5 line-up and Lift Foils positions it for riders wanting "precision, control, high-performance maneuverability, and a surf-like feel." Complete beginners are usually better served by the Lift 5 Sport (4'9'') or Cruiser (5'4''), which deliver more stability and more forgiving take-offs. If your yacht mostly carries experienced watersports guests, the Pro is the right default; if you host families or mixed-ability groups, we typically recommend pairing a Pro with a Sport so every guest has the right board.
What wings come with the Lift 5 Pro?
The Pro ships with the 210 Camber Pro LCS front wing and the 36 Glide back wing. Both attach via Lift's LCS (Lift Connect System), which means you can add further wings from the Lift range to the quiver later without changing hardware — useful for tuning the foil to chop, cruising, or carving as your guest profile changes season to season.
How long does the battery last and how do I charge it?
The Gen5 Full Range Battery delivers up to 90 minutes of full-throttle riding, according to Lift Foils, with real-world range varying by rider weight, wing choice and conditions. The pack is a wireless drop-in design — it seats into the board without exposed cables, reducing saltwater ingress risk. Charging is handled from standard shore or yacht AC power; we walk crew through charge logistics and stowage at handover.
Can I ride the Lift 5 Pro in Malta?
Yes. Mercer Yachting, based in Marsaskala, supplies and delivers the Lift 5 Pro across Maltese waters — including from the main superyacht berths at Grand Harbour Marina, Portomaso, and Malta Freeport anchorages. We can handover on board or at a pre-agreed location and brief crew on local ride zones and restrictions.
Is there a manufacturer warranty?
Every Lift 5 Pro supplied by Mercer Yachting arrives with full Lift Foils manufacturer warranty documentation. Warranty periods and coverage vary by component (board, battery, electronics) and are subject to Lift Foils' published terms at time of delivery — we confirm the current terms in writing with every quotation.
How does the Lift 5 Pro compare to a Fliteboard PRO?
Both are premium carbon eFoils at the flagship end of their respective ranges. Lift Foils leans hard into "whisper-quiet" and "most refined" positioning for the LIFT5 platform, with its wireless drop-in battery and LCS component ecosystem. Fliteboard has strong Australian design credentials and its own modular component system. In practice, most superyacht programmes choose on ride feel at a demo — we can arrange side-by-side quotations and, where seasonal demos are available, on-water trials in the Mediterranean.
Can I pair the Lift 5 Pro with a jetboard or other toys?
Yes, and we recommend it. An eFoil and a jetboard serve very different guests — eFoils reward balance and progression, jetboards reward speed and immediate fun — so a yacht that carries one of each covers a far wider guest profile. Mercer Yachting builds complete watersports packages combining Lift eFoils with jetboards, seabobs, towables, inflatables and PWCs, with a unified delivery and crew briefing schedule so everything arrives and commissions together.
