What is the difference between the VINGA Adventure and the VINGA Ultimate?
The Adventure is the entry-level model with a 95 L board and a 50 kph top speed, tuned for stability and first-time foil riders. The Ultimate is the advanced model with a 60 L board and a 55 kph top speed, built for experienced riders who want sharper response and higher performance. Both share the same 4–8.2 kW power band, Linear Jet propulsion, and battery platform — the Adventure is €12,990 ex. VAT, the Ultimate is €13,990 ex. VAT.
How is the VINGA Adventure different from the Awake RÄVIK jetboard?
The VINGA is an eFoil — it has a hydrofoil wing beneath the board that lifts the rider above the water surface once on plane, giving silent, drag-free gliding. The RÄVIK is a jetboard (electric surfboard) that stays on the water surface and is ridden like a powered surfboard. Different disciplines, different learning curves. Both are Awake products but they do not substitute each other.
How long does it take to learn to ride the VINGA Adventure?
Most new riders are up on the foil within one to two sessions thanks to the 95 L board volume and the forgiving Powder 1800 + Cruise wing setup. The larger board carries the rider stably until they understand the controller throttle and body position, and the wing lifts progressively rather than snapping to the foil. Guests who already windsurf, kite, wake, or surf typically pick it up inside a single session.
Why the Powder 1800 front wing and Cruise stabilizer?
The Powder 1800 is a large-surface front wing that generates lift at lower speeds and feels stable in the air, which is exactly what a learner needs. The Cruise stabilizer is tuned for smooth, predictable tracking rather than aggressive turning. Together they make the Adventure the most forgiving VINGA configuration — once confident, riders can move up to the Ultimate or swap wing kits for a sharper feel.
What is the battery runtime and charging setup?
Fitted with the Flex Battery XR 4 (2.55 kWh), the VINGA Adventure delivers up to 120 minutes of ride time per charge. The smaller Flex Battery LR 4 gives 60 minutes. Battery weight for the XR 4 is 18.5 kg. Many yachts specify an additional battery pack so one charges on the dock or genset while the other is on the foil — this keeps the programme running continuously through a charter day.
Do you deliver the Awake VINGA Adventure to Malta and the wider Mediterranean?
Yes. Mercer Yachting is based in Marsaskala, Malta and is the Awake dealer for the Maltese market — serving the yachting community through our parent Ritz Marine operation. We deliver to Malta directly and ship to every major Mediterranean yachting hub including Antibes, Palma de Mallorca, Monaco, Genoa, Athens, and Split, with worldwide air and sea freight available to any nominated port or agent.
What warranty comes with the VINGA Adventure?
Awake supplies every VINGA with a two-year manufacturer warranty covering the board, drivetrain, battery, and controller under normal use. Mercer Yachting handles warranty claims through the Awake Sweden factory on behalf of Malta-based yachts and supports Mediterranean clients with logistics for units shipped to other ports.
Should I buy the Adventure and Ultimate as a pair?
For yachts with a mixed guest profile — owners, charter groups, crew — we almost always recommend specifying both boards. The Adventure covers learners and occasional riders on its 95 L platform; the Ultimate covers experienced foilers who want the 60 L, 55 kph performance board. They share the same battery, charger, and controller, so the second board adds minimal deck-storage and spares complexity.
