Inflatable Work Platforms for Refit & Waterline Maintenance
A stable surface alongside the hull, deployed in minutes
SEARAFT inflatable work platforms turn the waterline into a working deck. Use them for hull polishing, fender installation, navigation light service, transom painting, or any waterline maintenance task where traditional scaffolding is impractical. Three standard sizes, custom dimensions available. Same dropstitch construction as the fender range — rigid underfoot, light to handle, deflates flat for storage.
Standard sizes
| Size (imperial) | Metric | Type | Crew capacity |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 x 5 ft | 122 x 152 cm | Small work platform | 1 – 2 persons |
| 4 x 8 ft | 122 x 244 cm | Medium work platform | 2 – 3 persons |
| 6 x 10 ft | 183 x 305 cm | Large work platform | 3 – 4 persons |
Custom sizes built to spec. Modular interconnects available — chain platforms together for larger work areas.

Work platform FAQ
How much weight can a work platform carry?
Working load depends on size — the 4x5 carries up to 2 crew with equipment (~250 kg), the 6x10 carries up to 4 crew with equipment (~500 kg). Distributed loading is best — don't concentrate weight in one corner. Maximum load is rated on the platform and in the documentation.
How do you secure it alongside?
D-rings at each corner take mooring lines to the yacht's cleats or a separate pontoon. We supply standard polyester lines as part of the kit. For exposed berths or working in chop we recommend a 4-point mooring with stern springs.
Can you chain multiple platforms together?
Yes — interconnect kits link adjacent platforms into a larger working area. Useful for hull cleaning operations along long superyacht waterlines or for creating a temporary work pontoon alongside the yacht.
Will the EVA deck mark the hull?
No — the platform's hull-side edge is a soft inflatable section, same material as the fender range. It acts as a fender against the hull while the deck surface is for crew. No hard contact between deck and hull.
How long does it take to deploy?
About 5 minutes with the OV10 electric pump. Includes inflating, lowering into the water (crane or by hand for the small size), and mooring to the yacht. Recovery is similar — 5 to 10 minutes including drying and packing.
